Congregational Church announces Holy Week services

KENT – The First Congregational Church of Kent will hold Holy Week Services and Events beginning today (Thursday).

Maundy Thursday (March 28) — Celebrate a gathering to share in communion and hear a reading of the Last Supper story at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Good Friday (March 29)—Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Parish, at 1 North Main St., at 6 p.m.

Easter Sunday (March 31)—Sunrise service at 7 a.m. will be held on the front lawn of the church. Participants are encouraged to remember to dress warmly, the mornings are still chilly. The deacons will set up a buffet in the lecture room so people can eat in between and after the two services.

Family service at 10 a.m. There is no coffee hour following service. The Easter Egg Dash will be held for children 12 and under at 11:30 a.m. The eggs will be spread out on the lawn between the parish hall and the Quality Thrift Shop.
