SHARON—Spring classes are now on sale at the Sharon Playhouse.

Classes are offered for children as young as 3 to 5 years old through to adults and include a full gamut of theatrical experiences.

“Music for Munchkins” sessions, seven-week classes for the youngest thespians, begin March 23 and are designed to align with the developmental milestones of the children. “Creative Theatrics” for children 6 to 8 years old begins March 20 and continues through May 1. The children engage in “playful pretend” while expanding their imaginations.

“Creative Movement” is designed for the same age group and runs concurrently. It is designed to help children discover the joy of movement.

From ages 8 to 12, youth can take part in “Singing 101,” “Dancing 101” and “Acting 101.” Classes run from March 23 to May 4. Teens ages 12 to 18 are invited to enroll in a “Teen Play Making Lab,” beginning March 23 and continuing through May 4 or a “Choreography Workshop” on April 26.

Ages 15 and older can enroll in “Acting for TV and Film,” a seven-class series beginning March 21, that dives into the real world of TV and film acting, and “Studying the Scene” for the same age group, which begins March 19 and offers an opportunity to dissect, explore and breathe life into powerful scenes from diverse plays.

As they learn to analyze a scene, these older students may be intrigued by “Playwriting,” beginning March 18, during which they will learn how to craft a 10-minute play.

Class offerings for teens and adults continue with “How to be a Working Actor,” a single class set for March 29, and a “Musical Theatre Master Class with Broadway Casting Director Duncan Stewart” on April 27.

Also on tap are opportunities to take part in a reading of “Twelve Angry Jurors,” on April 12 or to belt out tunes around a piano in a “Broadway Piano Party” on April 20.

There is a Sharon Playhouse One-day Camp for children aged 8 to 13 on April 15.
