Emergency Warming Center Will Be at Library

KENT—Emergency Management Deputy Director Eric Epstein has announced that the warming center during the predicted cold snap will be the Kent Memorial Library.

The warming station is being offered in compliance with Gov. Ned Lamont’s activation of the Severe Cold Weather Protocol. It will continue through Jan. 22 at noon.

The Main Street library will operate as a warming center during regular library hours Jan. 18 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Jan. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Anyone who needs service outside of these times can contact Epstein at 203-770-6551 to make arrangements to staff the Town Hall meeting room with CERT members.
