Potter writes that a woman’s right to choose is a basic and important right.

“In November 2016, when it was clear that this right was going to come under attack, my wife and I became monthly supporters of Planned Parenthood and are to this day,” he said.

He said that in 2022, just before Roe v Wade was overturned, the Connecticut legislature passed the Reproductive Freedom Defense Act, strengthening protections and expanded access.

He cited his opponent’s, Stephen Harding’s, vote against it.

Potter has been busy touring the towns in the 30th District and will be in Torrington Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Blues, Brews, & Barbeque, an event hosted by the Torrington Democratic Town Committee at Bad Dog Brewing, 117 Water. St.
