Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library books available through KML

KENT—All young children in Kent and South Kent are eligible to join Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. From birth until their fifth birthday, kids are mailed a free book every month. Books vary by age and change monthly, making it easy to build the child’s home library.

The Kent Community Fund and Kent Memorial Library partnered with Parton’s Imagination Library to bring the program to Kent. They actively recruit participants for this opportunity to enrich the lives of children. 

To sign up, stop by the library and pick up a form and one’s first free book. Registration materials are also be available at Kent, Sundog Shoe and Leather, and at various outreach efforts in local schools.

The Kent Community Fund’s resources support the monthly book deliveries.

Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book gifting program in the world. The flagship program of The Dollywood Foundation has gifted more 167 million free books in Australia, Canada, The Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States.
