FALLS VILLAGE—The Housatonic Youth Service Bureau will hold a Monster Mash Dash 5K and fun Run Saturday, Oct. 28, at 4:30 p.m. at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Runners should wear costumes and bring their friends. Text MMDASH to 99192 to sign up.

Racers will experience autumn in the Litchfield Hills as they race over the Housatonic Valley Regional High School’s cross-country course over grass fields, up and down hills, and even on the road.

For little ghouls and goblins, there will be a special Fun Run. They can wear their spookiest Halloween attire as they dash along a minicourse. The Fun Run begins at 5:30 p.m.

The races will be followed by a Halloween Carnival with bounce houses, creepy crafts, spooky music, carnival snacks and glitter tattoos. Purchase carnival tickets online before the event, or in person once you arrive.

Food trucks will be on site serving tasty treats throughout the evening.

Entry for the adult race is $25; kids Fun Run, $10, including a special prize for all participants.

All proceeds benefit the Housatonic Youth Service Bureau, supporting its mission to strengthen the emotional health of youth and families in the Northwest Corner Community.
