Bash Doran, playwright and screenwriter, and Lea Alsip, actress and producer, will discuss writing, producing and life in show business Thursday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. in the reading room at Kent Memorial Library. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Doran has written for television shows as varied as Beef, Boardwalk Empire, Smash and Looming Tower. Her plays have been produced at Lincoln Center and Playwrights Horizons, among other venues. Alsip has performed on Broadway in David Henry Hwang’s M. Butterfly, directed by Julie Taymor, and playing opposite Clive Owen
