KENT, Conn.—Kent residents are invited to join the Kent Memorial Library in a trip to the Palace Theater in Waterbury Tuesday, April 8, at 11 a.m.

Registered as a National Historic treasure, the Palace Theater was opened on January 28, 1922, to great fanfare. The elegant lobbies, crystal chandeliers, gold detailing, along with its Broadway-sized stage, quickly established this theater as the gem of Waterbury and one of the finest theaters in New England, if not the country.
The expedition is free and open to the public. Volunteers are sought to drive. Call the library or email kla-bmcallister@biblio.org. The group will depart from the library, 32 North Main St.
