WAA accepting entries for Members Show

WASHINGTON, Conn.— The Washington Art Association is accepting entries for its 2025 Members Show, which will be exhibited from March 15 through April 26. The opening reception will be Saturday, March 15, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Awards will be presented in four categories: works on paper, painting, photography and sculpture. Paintings can be in oil or acrylic on any substrate and watercolor; works on paper consist of drawings, collages, prints and pastels; sculptures include all three-dimensional works including ceramics, while photography can be both digital and darkroom. 

The first prize is $1,000, second prize, $500, third prize, $200. There will also be an honorable mention. Winners will be announced in the gallery and on the WAA website at 4 p.m. to kick off the opening reception.

The jurors are yet to be announced.

Current members can enter one recent work in the medium of their choice, including painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. The maximum size is 1,300 square inches for two-dimensional works. No larger pieces will be accepted this year.
