Town cleanup to be during April

KENT—The Conservation Commission is again sponsoring a spring cleanup of the community, but it has changed the format this year. Instead of a one-day event, it is encouraging residents to scour town roads for winter detritus through the entire month of April.

Gloves and bags will be provided.

Commission members have noticed that it’s easier to clean roads before the foliage starts to grow and that’s happening earlier and earlier each year.

Volunteers can fill out a form here to let the commission know where they will be cleaning up. The goal is to clean more than 90 percent of the town roads with this effort.

The Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring the effort.
