Sports author to speak at Kent library

KENT—Local author Jason Calabrese will speak about his book, “Boost your Basketball I.Q.,” Thursday, Aug. 8, at 6:30 p.m. at Kent Memorial Library, 32 North Main St.

Author Jason Calabrese will speak Thursday, Aug. 8 at Kent Memorial Library.

He will not only discuss his book writing journey, but also give tips for aspiring authors, tips for basketball players, tips and ideas for coaching youth basketball and applying skills learned on that court to the real world.

Calabrese has coached at the freshmen, junior varsity, varsity, and AAU levels. He competed at the collegiate level in both football at Southern Connecticut State University and basketball at UConn Stamford Branch.
