Spanish is focus of two library programs

KENT—The Kent Memorial Library will sponsor two different sessions where Spanish is the language of choice. The Adult Spanish Conversation Group, led by Yaznic Mateos, will gather for casual conversation and refreshments Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 6 p.m. in a new location.

Anyone can come to improve the level of their Spanish and got know other hispanophones in the community. All levels of Spanish are welcome.

The group now meets at a new location. Email or call 860-927-3761 to learn the location. The program is free and open to the public.

Children will get their exposure to Spanish in a story time Thursday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m., also with Yaznic Mateos. The program will be held in the Junior Room. Children of all ages are welcome to participate. Registration appreciated, by calling or emailing to register, or registering online.
