Sherman Playhouse to audition for “Dinner with Friends”

SHERMAN—The Sherman Playhouse, 5 Route 39 North, will hold auditions for its next production, “Dinner with Friends,” Sunday and Monday, Jan. 12 and 13. Auditions are from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday.

The Pulitzer Award-winning dramatic comedy by Donald Margulies is directed by Terry Sagedy and calls for a cast of two men and two women, all aged 30 to 50 years. Rehearsals start Feb. 2, with the show opening March 28. It continues on April 4, 5, 6, 11,12, 13, 18, 19.

The play follows two married couples who have been friends for years, delving into the ripple effects when one couple announces their divorce.

The Sherman Playhouse will resume the Cold Lemonade Reading Series on Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. with a new set of writers.
