KENT—Fishing season officially opens April 13, but the Kent Boy Scouts will be cater to those too eager to wait on April 6, when they offer grab-and-go or dine-in refreshments for early anglers.

The Scouts will serve sandwiches and coffee or other drinks at the Kent Congregational Church Parish House, 97 North Main St., from 6 to 11 a.m.

The cost is $10 with all proceeds benefitting Boy Scout Troop 11.

The early date was chosen because it is prior to the Region 1 spring break.
