Safe Sitter course offered at library

KENT—Kent Memorial Library will again present the Safe Sitter Essential Course Sunday, Jan. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This course is designed to prepare students to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class is uses fun games and role-playing exercises. 

Students will learn safety, childcare, first aid, rescue, life and business skills. The class is $30 per participant and is open to children in sixth grade and older. It will be held in the in the Junior Room and registration is required.
