CORNWALL—The Cornwall Library’s current exhibit is “Rearranging the Furniture,” an exhibition of the latest abstract oil paintings of artist Molly Morgan. It will run through Saturday, Oct. 19 and can be viewed during regular library hours.

Molly Morgan is a psychotherapist who began making art to self-reflect and process her work with psychotherapy clients. She developed a committed painting practice during the COVID lockdown.

Her work explores the parallels between therapy and creating art, and her focus is on the process of making art as a tool for self-discovery and transformation. This series of paintings was inspired by a client’s observation that therapy felt like “rearranging the furniture inside.”

The library is located at 30 Pine St. It is open Tuesday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Wednesday, noon-7 p.m.; Thursday, noon-5 p.m.; Friday, noon-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Sunday, noon-3 p.m. It is closed Monday.
