KENT – Kent Memorial Library has chosen one lucky winner of this year’s car raffle.

Anne McCabe of Bayville, N.Y., was thrilled to get the call at 1 p.m. during the annual Kent Pumpkin Run Oct. 27.

McCabe and her family have owned a cabin on Hatch Pond in Kent for many years. She has been buying tickets every season and her ticket – number #0938 – was finally the winner.

This year’s raffle car was a 2021 Jeep Compass Limited with a sunroof, heated bucket seats, and all-wheel drive.

McCabe’s sister, Jean McCabe, came to Kent on Saturday, Nov. 2, to drive the prize home to Anne.
