KENT—St. Kateri Tkakwitha Parish, which includes Sacred Heart Church in Kent, will hold a parish-wide Festival of Lessons and Carols this coming Friday, Dec. 1, at Saint Bernard Church in Sharon.
This service of scripture and song recounts the Fall, the Promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each lesson is followed by a brief prayer and a Carol that reflects the Scripture’s message.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck supper in Josie Hall. At 7 p.m. the Festival of Lessons and Carols begins in the Church followed by dessert, coffee, and social conversation back in the hall.
