Kent Library opens exhibit of Blanton paintings

KENT—The Kent Memorial Library, 32 Min St., has opened its newest art show, “Intercepting Sunshine” by Shannon Blanton. The exhibit continues through June 30 and can be viewed during regular library hours.

Blanton is a visual artist who studied Art History and Painting at Centre College in Danville, KY. Her education continued in New York City when she began working in the commercial art world. She was a docent at the New Museum and curated pop up art shows under the name “Nude with a Goose.” 

Blanton’s work has been shown in group exhibitions around New York City and collected internationally.
