SHERMAN, Conn.—The Sherman Library and the Sherman Conservation Commission will present a program on “earth dumplings” Thursday, March 20, at 4:30 p.m.

Come to the Sherman Library to learn about the tale of “earth dumplings, and then create your own earth dumplings, also known as seed balls. Participants can bring the seedballs home and plant them for the spring season.
Seed balls are designed to be scattered or tossed on the ground to encourage wildflower growth. It is an ancient Japanese practice called Tsuchi Dango, which translates to “earth dumpings.”
