The Kent Land Trust has added a second volunteer workday at the Claire Murphy Riverwalk preserve May 18 at 9 a.m.

KLT has been actively restoring the habitat of waterfowl by removing invasive plants and replacing them with beneficial native plants.

Registration is required to communicate weather-related changes, online, by email, info@kentlandtrust.org or by calling 860-488-9185.

This activity is free and open to the public. Participants should be age 10 and up and wear sturdy, waterproof footwear, weather-appropriate clothes, and bring a water bottle, pruners and loppers.

The preserve is located at 170 Kent Rd., next to Marble Valley Farm.
