NEW MILFORD—A Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Kent is among the 16 towns that are invited to participate.

Persons bringing items to the collection point – the John Pettibone Community Center at 2 Pickett District Road – should remain in their cars at all times and have identification ready.

Items should be placed at the back of the vehicle. Workers will remove contents from the vehicle.
