SHERMAN—The Sherman Library will present an in-person program on “The History of Early Rock n’ Roll Vocal Groups,” by composer, musician and author Charley Gerard March 2 at 11 a.m.
Doo-wop was the sound of early rock ‘n roll vocal groups. The sound of these groups originated from barbershop quartets, gospel groups and 1930s pop groups.
