Dahlias talk April 6 at Sherman Library

SHERMAN—The Sherman Library will present a program on dahlias April 6 at 11 a.m. with presenter Michele Mackinnon, a UConn certified Advanced Master Gardener.

There are 50,000 cultivars of dahlias with colors ranging from white to the deepest jewel tones and a panoply of petal styles.  Mackinnon will give tips for selecting varieties and growing technique’s that increase vigor and multiply bloom quantity.

Mackinnon is a CT NOFA-accredited organic land care professional and a member of the Sherman Conservation Commission.
