KENT—The Coffee Talk scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Kent Art Association will be about Willard Paddock, a founder of the KAA, and will be presented by artist Deborah Chabrian, president of the Kent Historical Society. She currently lives in Paddock’s house.
Willard Dryden Paddock (1873-1956) was an American painter and sculptor. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he studied at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn before traveling to Paris to study at the Academie Colarossi. Paddock is better known for his sculptural work, which garnered national attention and includes memorial structures, fountains, busts, figures and sundials.
The talk, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 10-11 a.m.
