Class of 2024 to graduate from independent schools

KENT – All three of Kent’s independent schools are gearing up for their graduation ceremonies in upcoming weeks.

The first will be South Kent School’s Prize Day ceremony on Saturday, May 18 beginning at 10 a.m. in the Joseph J. Brown Gymnasium.

The night before is the Class of 2024 Prize Day Banquet and Awards Ceremony, when families and the graduates gather for the presentation of a series of awards, including academic, athletic, school awards are distributed.

Head of School Brian Sullivan will give an address to the graduates as well as Co-Head Prefects Connor Broderick and Mano Idir.

SKS has a two-part ceremony where each graduate has a personalized diploma read to him by Sullivan and then everyone processes to St. Michael’s Chapel where the diplomas are awarded and each graduate from the Class of 2024 will receive a blessing.

Marvelwood School will hold its commencement ceremony Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m. Awards are presented at the Prize Day ceremony May 31 at 10 a.m.

Kent School graduation is Sunday, June 2, at 10 a.m. and the Prize Day awards are presented the day before at 4 p.m.
