Campaign volunteer: Hayes ‘is a champion of the people’

To the Editor:

I spend many hours volunteering for Congresswoman Jahana Hayes. I would like to tell you why.

Jahana is a champion of the people. Hayes is a smart, well spoken, well informed, caring and feisty woman, who fights for us.

Congresswoman Hayes serves on the Education and the Workforce Committee and the Agriculture Committee—two important committees.

On Education and Workforce, she fights for the education, well-being and safety of America’s students and makes sure workers get a fair shake, especially working for corporations.

On Agriculture, she fights for our small family farms, so they have a say against the huge farming centers of the West, and so they can be there for our children and grandchildren.

Our congresswoman serves as the chairwoman for the Subcommittee on Nutrition, Oversight and Department Operations, believing that a hungry child cannot learn.

She also serves on the subcommittee on Livestock and Foreign Agriculture.

Jahana works hard for women’s rights, small businesses, the environment, voting rights, affordable housing, sensible gun legislation, first responders, police, veterans and Social Security and Medicare.

She has passed legislation during both the Biden and Trump administrations. Jahana works on both sides of the aisle to promote bipartisanship. Jahana Hayes gets things done.

Everything is on the line this year.

I strongly encourage each of you to join me in voting for Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator Chris Murphy, Congresswoman Jahana Hayes, Representative Maria Horn and state Senate candidate Justin Potter, the Democratic slate of strong, qualified people who care about us!
