Annual Pumpkin Run is Sunday

KENT—The 47th annual five-mile Pumpkin Run will be held Sunday at noon, starting from Kent Green. 

Tickets purchased are $35 and the first 300 registrants receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Kids Fun Run will be held at 11:15 a.m. for children ages 12 and younger. The Fun Run features both half-mile and one-mile options and each runner receives a race bib and a prize. 

There will be cash prizes for the overall top three males and overall top three women. Special prizes will be presented to the second- and third-place male and female runners in all age divisions. Those who choose to conquer the run in a costume may win a prize and there will be will also hold a costume contest for children.

The race begins and ends in front of the Kent Town Hall, 41 Kent Green Blvd., and is Kent’s largest one-day community event. 

The Kent Pumpkin Run is organized by the Kent Chamber of Commerce and hosted by the Kent Green Shopping Center.
