Theft of political signs is ‘disheartening’

To the Editor:

I’m writing to express my frustration over the recent theft of more than 20 Harris/Walz lawn signs.

As a member of a community that values free speech and democratic participation, it’s disheartening to see such disrespectful behavior.

Lawn signs are an important way for individuals to express their political views, and removing them undermines the spirit of our electoral process.

Everyone has the right to support their chosen candidates without fear of retaliation or interference. Whether or not we agree with each other’s choices, we must all respect these fundamental freedoms.

I urge our community to come together and stand against this kind of vandalism. Let’s encourage respectful dialogue and support everyone’s right to voice their opinion.
