TradesUp founder to describe program at library

KENT—TradesUp founder Mason Lord will appear at the Kent Memorial Library, 32 Main St., Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. to speak to young people and their parents about the program, which provides free opportunities to try different trades and experience the joys of hands-on creating, making and problem solving.

Lord believes that, given the exceptional diversity of interests in the world, it is paramount that young children be given options to explore what most excites them. TradesUp offers them the chance to work with their hands; perhaps to find their passion in a trade.
