“I look forward to shining a spotlight on our community, and sharing ways the public can get more involved,” Rose said.

In addition, Rose will speak about her involvement in the arts community, including her role as New Milford Poet Laureate and as an award-winning photographer, and her work with several local nonprofits, the Ostomy Foundation, the Foundation 4 Orphans, and the Sherman Chamber Ensemble.

Those attending are asked to bring a salad, side dish, or dessert to share, and the hotel will provide burgers, hot dogs and drinks. The evening will begin with appetizers and dinner at 6 p.m., followed by a short business meeting of the membership will be held at 6:45 p.m. followed by Rose’s talk at 7 p.m.
