10-minute plays being staged at Sharon Playhouse

SHARON—Sharon Playhouse will present its fourth annual Writer’s Playground, a festival of new 10-minute plays, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and 5, in the Olsen Theater.

The festival provides an opportunity for local writers, performers, directors and technicians in northwest Connecticut and neighboring New York and Massachusetts communities to showcase their talents and see their visions realized while bringing community members together through live theater.

Plays presented will be “Police Activity” by Joe Godfrey; “Kirsten” by Darcy Boynton and James Mead; “Penguin Dad, Tiger Mom,” by Morgana Kate Watson; “Waiting Room” by David Simpatico; “Can I Take Your Order” by Parker Reed; “Decision Time” by Macey Levin; “Off Leash” by Melinda Buckley, and “A Quiet Light” by J. R. Stephens

Admission is free but donations are welcome and encouraged.
