Violet Willows to perform July 19 at Merryall

NEW MILFORD—Violet Willows, the Connecticut-based duo of Brianne Chasanoff and Mary Gardner, will appear at the Merryall Center, 8 Chapel Hill Road, Friday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Along with their unique arrangements of covers listeners know and love, patrons may hear traces of Sarah Mclachlan, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Indigo Girls and The Beatles in Chasanoff’s original music. 

Chasanoff is a classically-trained vocalist and pianist, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education concentrating in voice and piano and a Master’s Degree in Studio Composition. She performs various styles of music from Broadway and classical to pop. Gardner is multi-instrumentalist who specializes in percussion and world music. She has received acclaim for her fluency in a wide variety of styles from contemporary music to traditional Irish tunes.

The evening’s concert will open with another Connecticut singer-songwriter, Lara Schuler.
