United Way annual meeting reviews achievements and initiatives

WINSTED, Conn.— The United Way of Northwest Connecticut held its 2025 annual meeting at Little Red Barn Brewers on Thursday, Jan. 16, bringing together more than 70 attendees representing diverse sectors of the community.

The evening began with a welcome and networking session, followed by a formal business meeting led by Executive Director Lisa Ferris and Board Chair Cathy Coyle. Together, they reviewed the organization’s achievements over the past year and outlined ambitious strategic goals for the future.

The event featured a keynote address by Daniel Fitzmaurice from the United Way of Connecticut, who provided insights into the statewide impact of United Way initiatives.

Following the formal program, attendees participated in a reception that fostered discussions about future collaborations and community-focused projects.

The United Way of Northwest Connecticut is dedicated to empowering community-based organizations in the region, with a focus on improving health, education and financial stability for individuals and families.
