TradesUp offers a youth workshop in woodworking

KENT—A free TradesUp Youth Workshop in woodworking using hand tools will be held at the Eric Sloane Museum, 31 Kent Cornwall Rd., June 15 from 10 a.m. until noon. It is open to youths ages 10 to 17.

The young people will experience S.T.E.A.M-based learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) during the hands-on workshop. Students will gain experience using skills such as basic math, measuring, and hand and eye coordination while developing a sense of confidence and self-sufficiency. Although this program is free, pre-registration is required, and all students must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited.
