Sprint for Sobriety 5K registration is now open

KENT—Registration is now open for the seventh annual Sprint for Sobriety 5K Walk/Run, planned for Sunday, Aug. 25, at 9 a.m. The race is organized by the Eastern Dutchess Road Runners Club and benefits High Watch Recovery Center’s Wilson Bed Scholarship Program, which assists those struggling with addiction who do not resources for treatment.

Registration is $25, and giveaways are guaranteed for those registering before Aug. 18. Online registration closes at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. Day-of-the-race registration is $30 and can only be made in cash.

Finisher medals are assured for those who register by Aug. 18 and medals will be awarded to the top overall male and females and the top three runners in each of the seven age categories.The race begins and ends at the Kent Town Hall, 41 Green Blvd.
