KENT – Kent residents are invited to celebrate the first day of Spring 2024 by joining a group sunset hike March 19 at 5 p.m. up to the Leonard Mountain Vista in Emery Park with new Park and Recreation Director Matt Busse.

The 2-mile hike to the vista offers views of Cobble Mountain, Fuller Mountain, Pond Mountain, and even a distant glimpse of the Northern Catskill Mountains in New York. The hike is rated as moderate and does include occasional steep inclines.

Participants are asked to bring water, appropriate hiking attire for the weather, extra layers, and a flashlight. Registration is recommended, but not required and can be done online.
