KENT—The Eric Sloane Museum, 31 Kent Cornwall Rd., will celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence Saturday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will learn about an American tradition of bell ringing, which is as old as the country itself, while visiting the museum’s large collection of early American art.

The museum grounds also offer an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon picnic in the Housatonic River Valley. The program is free.
