Senior Center Announces Programs

KENT—The Kent Senior Center has announced several new programs for the coming weeks.

A Make It & Take It small group cooking class is forming. Participants will make and eat lunch together, with an extra meal to take home.

Resident State Trooper Andrew Fisher will offer a talk on Safety for Seniors Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. and Animal Control Officer Lee Sohl will give a Pet Talk Feb. 1, also at 11 a.m. Sohl will bring her therapy dog and host a discussion during the session.

Senior lunches and celebrations will be held Feb. 7 at 1:30 p.m., when there will be a Valentine’s Day Tea; senior lunches are set for Feb. 27 and 28 at noon, and a St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held March 14.
