Sacred Heart collecting change to fight poverty

Boxes have been placed in the three member churches of the Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Parish—St. Bridget, St. Bernard and Sacred Heart—and parishioners are encouraged to take one home and to throw loose change into it during Lent. The boxes can be returned after Easter.

The money will be used to alleviate world poverty through the Catholic Relief Services Alms Giving Program. Last year more than $1,000 was raised.
