NEW MILFORD—The second annual New Milford Ice Cream Crawl kicks off July 1.

The event, which runs through Aug. 25, is presented by the Town of New Milford through its community site and resource, NewMilfordNow.org.

The event encourages individuals to explore numerous ice cream businesses throughout town, while earning an opportunity to receive a 2024 New Milford Ice Cream Crawl T-shirt.

Eight ice cream establishments will participate, one more than last year.

They are All Aboard Pizzeria & Ice Cream Parlor at 24 Railroad St.; Carvel at 14 Danbury Rd.; Dairy Queen at 161 Danbury Rd., which is set to open in July; Villarina’s Pasta Shop at 123 Danbury Rd., which serves Ferris Acres Farm ice cream; Kimberly Farm at 410 Chestnutland Rd.; Tasty Waves at 7 Main St.; Grassroots Ice Cream at 12 Bank St.; and Sonic at 291 Danbury Rd.

Here’s how it works:

Purchase ice cream from five of the eight participating establishments any time from July 1 through Aug. 25 and keep the receipts.

Take a selfie of each individual participating with his or her ice cream in front of the Ice Cream Crawl sign, with staff, or at each respective establishment and then post it in the comments under the pinned Ice Cream Crawl post on the NewMilfordNow Facebook page beginning July 1.

When a participant has had ice cream at five of the eight businesses, bring the receipts showing ice cream purchases only to the Mayor’s Office at Roger Sherman Town Hall, 10 Main St., Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and get a 2024 New Milford Ice Cream Crawl T-shirt.
