Library plans weekend treats for young people

KENT—The Kent Memorial Library, 32 Main St., will offer young people a couple of treats this weekend. Saturday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. local author Audra Salazar will offer a Back-to-School Storytime, reading from her new book, “Yellowisa.” There will be light refreshments and a craft. Registration appreciated by calling 860-927-3761, emailing or registering online.

Sunday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. there will be a Family Movie Matinee screening of a new release, “If.” Families should feel free to bring snacks. Registration is appreciated by calling, emailing or registering online.
