Kent Computer Services grand opening is July 6

KENT—Kent Computer Services, 17 Kent Green Blvd, will hold the grand opening of its new retail space Saturday, July 6, at 10 a.m. Proprietor Jonathan Matson invites the community to stop by for light refreshments and to view the selection of computers, accessories and tech solutions available for sale.

Kent Computer Services provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet digital needs, from professionally managed IT solutions to walk-in repairs. It specializes in breathing new life into old devices, as well as offering educational services to help patrons make the most of their technology.

Matson has more than seven years experience working with IT infrastructures for small businesses and nonprofits in Litchfield County. Through Kent Computer Services, he has assisted more than two dozen small businesses in a computer services and website development.

He has led projects such as the digital transformation of The Kent Good Times Dispatch newspaper and the digitization of plots for the Kent Cemetery Association. Matson also serves on the technology review committee for the Kent Memorial Library.

Committed to community service, Matson serves on the Board of Directors for nonprofits such as the Merryall Community Center for the Arts and Kent Affordable Housing. He is also an active member of the Kent Lions Club, contributing to various community initiatives to support the visually impaired.

Matson holds a bachelor’s degree from Champlain College in Computer Information Technology and Business Administration. Matson said he is dedicated to driving positive change and empowering organizations to thrive in today’s digital landscape through his technical expertise and commitment to community engagement, .
