KENT—Local artist Susan Grisell will exhibit a “Visual Diary” at the Kent Memorial Library, 32 North Main St., during January and February.
Grisell, a frequent exhibitor at the library, is a lifelong resident of the region, having grown up on her grandfather’s farm in Gaylordsville. An impressionist landscape painter, she draws inspiration from the vistas that have surrounded her since childhood.
In May 2023, one of Susan’s paintings “Blue Crock and Oranges” was featured in The Wall Street Journal.
Over the years, Susan’s work has won numerous awards, including first prizes at the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit in New York City, the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival in Mystic, Connecticut and most recently, the Da Vinci Award from New Milford, which has given to individuals who exemplify the ideals of community service and the arts.
Through her website, susangrisell.com, and her presence on Facebook and Instagram, Susan is looking forward to sharing her work with an ever larger family of collectors.
