KENT – Marble Valley Farm will continue its organic seedling plant sale this Saturday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The farm’s annual seedling sale features spring and summer vegetable, herb and flower seedlings. Walk-ins are welcome. There is also online ordering available this year.

Plants are potted up based on the farmers’ assessment of best transplant time, so some may not be ready for immediate transplant once purchased, depending on the plant type. For example, kale and lettuce are cold-hardy, so they are ready to plant immediately. Tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants, however, should not be planted until Memorial Day weekend.

Payment will be at time of pick-up at the farm store, 170 Kent Road.

There is also a selection of spinach, baby kale and baby tat soi for sale from the farm fields, as well as a number of other items from area farms. Anyone who can’t make the time Saturday can reach out to the farmers to make arrangements or use the honor system purchasing.
