Hi, what are you looking for?
Join the Kent Memorial Library’s Junior Room for a special program with guest presenter Carol Franken Ed.D of the Kent Conservation Commission, on Thursday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m.
The program will explore the process of turning food scraps into compost. Children in Grades Pre-K through 4 will observe decomposition changes and learn about the advantages of keeping food scraps out of the waste stream. Kent’s current “Save As You Throw” HRRA project at the Kent Transfer Station will also be introduced. There will be a read-aloud and participants will go home with plants grown with compost. Please call or email (kmljuniorroom@biblio.org) the Junior Room to register, or register online.
