Safe Sitter Essential Course

Kent Memorial Library will again present the Safe Sitter® Essential Course on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is the only site in Northwest CT to offer this training by Certified Safe Sitter® trainers.

This course is designed to prepare students to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class uses fun games and role-playing exercises.

Students will learn safety, childcare, first aid, rescue, life, and business skills. The class is $30 per participant and includes the Safe Sitter® manual and is open to children in sixth grade and older. It will be held in the Junior Room and registration IS required. Please bring a lunch.
