KENT, Conn.—Margaret Lanzetta will discuss her ceramic and monoprint crown series, “Downstream from Culture: Crowns, Keys and Power,” in an artist’s talk at Kenise Barnes Fine Art, 5-7 Fulling Lane, Saturday, April 12, at 4 p.m.

Lanzetta, an artist known for her involvement with culturally inspired patterns, will discuss the crown series and the history of imperial crowns and keys.
Lanzetta was awarded a permanent public commission by MTA Arts and Design. She has had three Fulbright Fellowships, three MacDowell Fellowships, and residencies at Ucross Foundation, Greenwich House Pottery and Dieu Donné Papermill.
She has shown her works at the Museum of Modern Art and Queens Museum Biennial. Her works are held in numerous collections including The Museum of Modern Art, NY, The British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Yale University Museum and The Harvard Art Museums.
Lanzetta’s art is included in the Kenise Barnes’s Director’s Choice exhibition, now on view. The exhibition brings together some of the many artists who helped establish the gallery and with whom its has long-standing relationships, including Daniel Anselmi, Jackie Battenfield, Gabe Brown, Cecile Chong, David Collins, Susan English, Gregory Hennen, Michiyo Ihara, Mary Judge, Andrea Kantrowitz, David Konigsberg, Margaret Lanzetta, Joanne Mattera, Laura Moriarty, Margaret Neill, Jill Parisi, Melanie Parke, Jill Parisi, Donna Sharrett, Eve Stockton, Josette Urso, Eleanor White, and Tricia Wright.
Artists who have forthcoming exhibitions or were recently featured in exhibitions are not included in Director’s Choice.
