Scam: Beware if you are asked to provide a service for which you will be paid in advance.
The emails may be long and quite convincing until you learn that the check, which is supposedly in the mail, has been made out for too much money. You will be asked to take your fee and return the difference.
I said I would void the check and repeatedly asked for details about the musical job I was to provide. No reply.
