KENT – It has been one year since 45 On Main Coffee, Chocolate & Creamery opened its doors and the business will be celebrating its birthday Saturday, July 13 from 1 to 5 p.m. with lots of activities.
The first birthday party will include different games and inflatables. There will also be a dunk tank, with some “famous” Kent locals having signed up to be dunked, including First Selectman Marty Lindenmayer, Resident Trooper Vicky Donohoe and state Rep. Maria Horn (D-Salisbury). Music and menu specials and more activities will round out the afternoon’s festivities.
“We are hoping to organize a fun afternoon at the shop,” said owner/manager Gary Kidd. He promises there will be fun carnival games, live entertainment, balloon animals, music, giveaways, discounts in store and more.
There will be a touch-a-truck event in the afternoon with a firetruck, police car, excavator, postal truck, gas truck, Kent town trucks and more for children all ages to explore and see up close.
Funds raised from the activities will be donated to the Kent Food Bank, he said.
Additional parking will be available at Webster Bank and Payroll Ease across Main Street from 45 On Main.
